I met the local office of my Congressman with the following documents to make it easy & simple..
A copy of the Congresswoman Lofgren's letter written to USCIS etc ( download it from IV homepage )
A copy of Today ( July 5th ) Wall Street Journal . This issue has story about this fiasco.
Downloaded news flash from Murthy.com regarding Visa bulletins of 13th June & the screwup bulletin on 2nd July
Above was good enough to convince them regarding the mess & they promised action on their part..
IMPORTANT... I clarified that IT IS A PROCEDURAL ISSUE WITH USCIS
NOT AN IMMIGRATION ISSUE WHERE CONGRESS HAS TO TAKE ACTION
This really made them very comfortable as she said, we keep writing to concerned offices about procedural matters.
I told them that they should ask USCIS to " RECEIVE" aour applications to minimize our finanacial loss and other headache of refiling at a later date
Please note, it is real easy to meet the Congressman as they have local offices may be one mile away from your office or home.
Small towns like mine are great for this effort as compared to big towns. I encourage all of you particularly living in small towns to make this small move, which I am sure can resolve our issue & we will save all the $$$ in refiling & avoid further agony

BOA is now asking me for I-94. In my I-94 it is stamped as"Paroled until July 29th 2010" - will they interpret this as my valid stay in the US being only till July 29th? Not sure how I can explain this to them

Do not worry, that is one of their procedures. They just go by the rules and documentation set by the underwritter. If you have your valid EAD and explain to them that you are currently on AOS status then it should be fine. If they said that we can not provide your loan because your I-94 is expiring soon, then just let me know and I will send you the loan officer's contact name that I dealt with.

Most of the Indian companies (TCS, Wipro, Infy, etc) have more than 50% H1Bs, I believe.
They will bring/hire more resources to near shore (if not onsite) Brazil/Canada to satisfy clients...This year the demand for H1b is around 25K.... next year that may go down to 10-15K... good for future EB -AOS applicants.. :-)

Switch off javascript

We filed EB2 (Rest of the World) 140/485 on May 18th and 140 already got approved on May 24, 485 is still pending. I also have Eb3 Labor and 140 approved (Dec 2005) and we transfer Priority Date of old EB3 case Sep 2005 of EB3 to EB2. So my question is if this Bill becomes a law then what will happen to my case?

I agree with you. In order to achieve something, you have to give up something. Either it's the money, labor,time and effort. IV has had its first big success this year and we should all be proud of what we can all do. We worked hard and left no stone unturned to get this relief for our members. During the last few days there has been some movement on the National Defense Authorization Act and work on DREAM and SKIL provisions. While we were fully focused on the 485 relief, we did not lose sight of the developments. We have built a positive momentum and have been getting positive signals from key lawmakers. Guys for sake of transparency and moving ahead with a change, we should hold elections for the core team. Lobbying efforts are not working at all.

Since we are trying to address I-140 delays in general at TSC and NSC, can we just send a general letter to Ombudsman's office without specifying our case and DHS Form 7001 ?
