everyone here talks abt geting GC asap.. even though most of us are swearin at the USCIS/DOS whtevr, deep down we all want GCs. but after thi sJuly VB, do u have faith/trust in the system now? assume that they accept our application and what if they give out GCs 2-3 yrsfrom now, what makes u think they cant come back and say it was a mistake and u have to give ur GC back?
If they can do what they did today, and get away with it, they can do anything. its no differnet from Telgi scam/Laloo gobar/chara scam, so many scams in india. they get away once, they get away again. the middle class/average/educated tax payers like us suffer.

If the new bill gets approved when will it likely take affect? I just had my LC approved today and they are going to file I-140. Before the EB-3 retrogression for all nationalities i was told i-140 an i-485 could be filed at the same time. what impact does the new bill have on my situation?

I applied for L1 to H1 Conversion, but i am planning to travle to India from July 23 and will be back to US on 13th Aug.
Can I travle outside US after applying for conversion. Need some one to response ASAP
If you travel out of the U.S. while an application for change of status is pending the USCIS will deny the pending change of status application.

I am EB3 and recently got my h1-b extension from 10th to 13 year and got approved without any RFE in 2months from VSC.approved in 3rd week of january.i am working for the same company since 2002 an I am permanent employee not consultant and no clients
Now all the sudden out of nowhere an immigration inspector came to our workplace and asked details about my work, salary. They didn't ask anything else. They asked about me but I was working from home that day an per hr its related to h1-b but they have no clue as i am the only one non immigrant in 1600 employees
Is this common?
Should I enquiry with uscis? If so how
Since I worked from home that day and didn�t meet me, will there be an issue?
Should I be concerned anything or just forget about it. Any of your experiences thoughts are much advised

Hi,
I am currently with Wipro. I was working in india and i came onsite thorugh Wipro itself on H1B . Right now i have couple of offers with other companies and i would like to resign wirpo. When i want to resign wipro asks me to pay 5 lakhs + H1B change ($2000) . Can you please let me know how to proceed with this ? The reason why they are asking me to pay 5 lakhs is they want me to come back to india and work for 6 months(which does not make sense) when i have couple of offers here .
Is it legal for companies to charge this much of money ?
Has anyone from wipro come onsite and resigned here ?

If H1B extension gets denied and my employer will appeal it. My questions are
1. Can I allowed to work until I decision is made on appeal?
2. If appeal is denied, from when I will be consider as out of status? (from I-94 expiry date or appeal decision date)
3. After appeal denial what is the grace period to leave the US?
4. Can same employer is allow to file another H1 petition for me?

Currently I�m holding h1 and same time has AOS with my existing employer. I�m continuing my employment based on h1 and use Advance parole for travel purpose. My employer mentioned about not revoking I-140, even if I move to new employer. Since with new client, I�m transferring my H1 visa, I have 2 options with regard to my AOS portability
1) Either just transfers my h1 without porting AOS with new client. Continue with my AOS with old employer, since he won�t revoke my I-140 and provide support for future employment.
2) H1 transfer and Porting my AOS with new client and it does require my job and description mentioned in I-140 matches with current offer.
I would really appreciate, if you provide your valuable suggestion/recommendation. The best option to go ahead with.
