I checked from Tijuana site that if one has an appointment in Tijuana, then they will verify for PIMS entry for that petition.
Question --
1) How much does it cost to setup an appointment in Tijuana ? Do you need to pay the entire visa fee ($125) upfront during appointment ?
2) If the above is not true (and appointment can be set at a nominal cost), is it possible to set up an appintment, get PIMS verified and then cancel the appointment (I am planning for stamping in India)
3) If the above is doable , is it considered fraud -- any issues likely during stamping ? I believe it should not be, since they are anyway getting the additional money for setting up the appointment.

We have to have a seperate thread for new members right in the home page section along with other important links.
Also if the new members find some time to go through the website mosf of their doubts will get cleared.

I am trying to apply my AP (I-131) renewal. My current AP will expire on Oct 17 2009.
I had few questions about the form. Can someone please help me with the answers of my questions?
Part 1
Q#3. Class of Admission: I used my AP to enter the country on Sep 7th 2009. I am currently working on EAD. What should I enter for this field?
Part 3
Q1. Date of Intended Departure: I do not have any trip planned right now. What should I enter for this question.
Q2. Expected Length of Trip: What should I enter for this question?
On Part 7 it says that
"On a separate sheet of paper explain how you qualify for an advance parole document, and what circumstances warrant issuance of advance parole."
Can someone please let me know what needs to be done for the above?
Thanks
Sudipta

Your Snoutbreak update (hat tip to Jon Stewart). From the State Department's swine flu memo: The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and all U.S. Consulates throughout the country have suspended all non-essential services to the public until May 6. Consular services for U.S. citizens will be limited to emergency assistance and to citizenship applications (passports and consular reports of birth abroad, or CRBA). Notarial and other routine services will not be available; anyone with passport or CRBA appointments is encouraged but not required to reschedule to a later date. Additionally, Federal Benefits Units are requesting all persons to postpone interviews...

economy has slowed down immigration. Otherwise, numbers were pretty high.
it was projected that "Whites" would become minority by 2042.
I wish i live long enough to see that :D

I am really confused and I really need information about my situation.
I have graduated from Culinary Institute of America on June 18 and I had an application for OPT for July15. In normal process, I have received my OPT card and begin to work at the restaurant on July 15. However, because of an important family situation I have to go back to my country for one week between September 15- 22.
Now,my situation is; -I have an OPT card
-I have a job
-I am in my OPT year
BUT: on my OPT card, it says that, I can not leave the country during my OPT year
HOWEVER: I have to go back to my country for one week and there is no problem about taking off from my job.
I can not be sure about leaving the country,my question is: During the OPT period, IF you have a job and all your documents are done about OPT period, are you still should not leave the country? If you leave the USA, how can you come back?

All your questions should be to your immigration attorney. As you are trying to get L1 your company should take care of all these.

Hi,
I was working for a telecom company. I passed 6 years and then was on 1 year extension. Meanwhile my I140 was approved. Lately i was given pink slip and then transfer my H1 to another company. i couldn't join the company since i was waiting for approval notice for my H1 Transfer. Today i received the denial notice for my H1 transfer and extension. I called to the lawyer and they told me to file for B2 as they haven't received the notice as of yet. So the reason of denial is still unknown. I was wondering what are my current options? Should i wait and file a motion for the H1 transfer denial or should i go ahead with B2? Please advise.
Thanks

On October 20, the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) rolled out its new website. The EOIR is composed of the (1) Immigration Courts; (2) Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the (3) Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer (OCAHO). The EOIR announced the coming of the new website in a press release dated October 19. The agency stated as follows: "The EOIR website has been a prominent site for respondents, representatives, nongovernmental organizations, the press, and the public to gain updated information about the agency. The new site offers a clean design that mirrors the look and feel...

Does any one have any advice about AC21
Is it advisable to file AC21 soon after changing/ joining new employer?
OR
Just keep quite and look for any RFE, if any RFE comes up send AC21 form and updated employer information along with it.
IS there any guidelines from people who already did it successfully
Google for it. This has been discussed before and at numerous places on the www.
