USCIS should come up with strategy like if you are in US for 'X' years and if your 485 pending for 'Y' years and if you own a house worth 'XXX$' , then they should give GCs irrespective of Category(Eb1,Eb2,Eb3,Eb4 etc..)

If the economy is holding up like it does, other issues including immigration may get put on the backburner. This is the time to stand up and make our voices heard. Please step up and contribute for the massive lobbying that we (you and I) need to do to get these action items taken care of.
Don't think that other guys are contributing and this will be taken care of by iteself since I have other channels where my money is flowing into, and that I will contribute later if one of the bills get to the house floor etc. This is the time your help is needed the most. Each and every penny that you contribute matters.
It's high time we all see the big picture and stand up for ourselves because you know why...No one else is looking out for us but IV (us)!

have no hope of getting GC in the next 2 yrs, so we decided to put in our applications for Canada. Took us some time to assemble all the documents, but God willing we will mail the package out next week.

- Had Labor + 140 approved in Dec, 99.
- tricked and lured by start-up in silicon valley. Abandoned everything and came to California in Jan, 2000 made the deadly mistake of not taking the copy of approved I-140 (I still slap myself every morning for that mistake ;) )
- Found out they have only one customer
- Founder wasted own 20 Million dollars but never increased the tally for the customer from 1
- "Startup" went under in 2002.
- Joined new company (the only customer of start-up) and filed labor in March, 2003 and enjoying every minute of it... :)

Important people (lawmakers and others who can make things happen) know there is a problem with GC. They don't know how big. We show up in small numbers; well, they are going to interpret it like that; a small problem; as simple as that. To solve small problems takes big (long) time.
The funny thing is, if this happens; people who knew that the size of the rally mattered, and who could have very easily showed up, but will not come, assured in their mind, other people will show up, also end up being losers.
You want to know who these people are; people who will go to the office that day, people who do not have a single (even unimportant meeting), people whose boss don�t care if they are in the office or not, those who have no deadlines, those who have plenty of PV days left, those within 100 miles of DC, those who can pick up the phone on 18th and tell their boss about taking a day off (and the boss replying �OK That�s fine�), the people who will waste their entire freaking day going to sites like CCN, ABC News, Samachar.com and god know what other sites, trying to find the latest news about the rally, and once in a while folding their tiny hands and looking up at the roof of their cubicle and murmuring �Please God, make this rally a grand success�.
No amount of coaxing, urging, reasoning, and other forms of persuasion will ever let us drag you out of your cubicle.
Confused if you belong to this group. Think hard for about 10 minutes before you start insulting me. Maybe one of the above points doesn�t apply to you. You can get NJ DL on reciept and employers letter. Only thing is you need to go to Trenton or other service centers and not in local office. I got it few months back when I was in you situation.

But what transparency do you or we need about contribution money ?
Overall I had not seen monthly contribution going more than 2 - 3 K per month in last 3 years. And I think that would be enough to maintain the server and software cost, that too if spend very carefully. Cause we have more threads than contributions and it does costs to maintain and keep servers / Software up.
