This was inevitable. As Chris Hayes of The Nation told Keith Olbermann this evening, a boycott could "recalculate the incentives" for the citizens of Arizona and the politicians in the state. Once Super Bowls and major conventions start to go elsewhere (as was the case two decades ago when a similar boycott was successfully used to protest the state's failure to recognize the Martin Luther King holiday), the cavalier anti-immigrant positions will become a lot more expensive. Hopefully, the business community and sensible Arizonans who are appalled by what just happened in their state will mobilize to repeal the bill...

I am working for a small company on H1B since October 2006. The company had originally filed for full time employment (LCA and I-129) but at the time of hiring offered part time employment. I worked part time till June 2008 and since then I have been working full time. The company however never filed for an amended LCA and/or I-129 and I worked part-time on a full-time LCA and I-129. My H1B approval was extended last October by another 3 years. I also work part-time for a University on a concurrent H1B.
Will I be deemed out of status for this? What are the implications of this on filing for GC under EB1 or EB2? Is there any way in which this situation may be legally rectified?
Please advise.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says that he's not aware of anyone who wants to alter the 14th Amendment (uh, did you just wake up from a coma and miss the last two weeks?). Guys, I need ur suggestion and experiences on my typical situation
I am in the process of going full time with my client.
I have my I-485 Filed in July 2007 & have EAD & AP
I am not in a position to use EAD as I got married after I filed for I-485. I have to stay on H1B to maintain my wife's H4 status.
my Client's Attorney is filing for H1B transfer and is suggesting that I can use EAD to start working as soon as he files for H1B transfer.
My understanding is I will loose H1 status if I use EAD, hence H4 will be invalid.
Was anybody in a similar situation ?
I don't want to take a risk by using EAD and my wife loosing H4 status.
Please advice

No, the H1 6 yrs period will apply only when for the period when your Payrolls where generated using H1 visa.

I am on H1-B visa and applying for my wife's passport(in india),one of the document for making passport is an NOC from husband that has to get from indian embassy which i didn't find on their website(any application for spouse),has anyone come across this situation.Please let me know.
